Manager Utilities & Maintenance

• Establish planned preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical utilities, support services and operations.
• Develop corrective and scheduled maintenance activities of the engines, compressors, chillers, boilers, electrical control room and HT/LT Panels etc.
• Ability to estimate time, cost, materials and scheduling requirements as necessary for the completion of engineering department maintenance and operational activities.
• Ability to direct, plan, organize and control a specialized technical, skilled, semi-skilled workforce.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings (Plans, elevations, sections, P&IDs, electrical schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams etc).
• Have extensive knowledge and experience to safely and correctly use testing instruments and accurately interpret parameters.
• Manage skill development of technicians and operators in the operations and maintenance sections of the plant.
• Develop and adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) in regards to all potentially hazardous tasks.
• Negotiate terms and conditions during the finalization of contracts with the contractors/service providers.
• Provide and coach technicians and team leaders with BKM (Best Known Method) in performing preventative and corrective maintenance and project works.
• Promote the awareness of the latest technical standards in relevant fields of engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of International Safety, Health & Environmental best practices and standards.
• Ensure health, safety and security procedures of the company are complied with at all times.
• Maintain safe personal & hygiene standards.
• Proactively provide feedback to management regarding hazards in the workplace and any other health, safety issues which may have impact on the services delivery.
• Set goals and monitor progress on achieving high standards of performance and expected behavior.
